Have a daily routine

Welcome to the weekend again guys. The week went by so fast.

Most of us spend more time with our coworkers or clients than we do with our

loved ones. Therefore, we should use our days wisely and spend the weekend

nurturing our loved ones and our souls (have some “me time.”

We need to take care of our mental health and physical health so we can stay

centered. We cannot feel good if we ignore one or the other. They go hand-in-

hand to keep us centered. When we are centered, we are more productive and

loving.

To keep myself centered, I create my daily routine:

My Weekend Routine:

I spent time with family and friends. We usually go out for a walk, hiking,

camping, take a trip to the beach, or go out to eat to gather.

Alone time is a must-have for me, so take time to work out, go for a walk, or work

in my yard. Sometimes I just read, write, or lay in the Jacuzzi.

My Work Day Routine:

To stay energized and alert during my work days, I go to bed early so I can have

enough rest. I have insomnia, so I stay away from screens for about two hours

before my bed time to help my body prepare for sleep.

 I exercise for about 30 to 40 minutes in the morning. Studies have shown

that morning workouts improve focus, cognition, and hormonal balance. I

find that exercise in the morning boosts my energy and helps me to stay

focused.

 I eat breakfast. My breakfast always has protein and carbohydrates.

Nutrition experts have said that a healthy breakfast is key to start to the

day right. It helped us think and perform better on the job. Pair carbs with

protein. The carbs give your body energy to get started and your brain the

fuel it needs to take on the day. Protein gives you staying power and helps

you feel full until your next meal.

 I always talk to God before I head to the office. Morning prayers align our

heart and mind with God.
